The airline was founded in 1992 as “InterIsland Airways, Ltd.,” and had formerly been known as Air Turks & Caicos. Based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, interCaribbean Airways’ headquarters is located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. From their base, the airline operates passenger services as well as charter flights to a number of domestic and regional destinations. InterCaribbean Airways’ domestic service in Jamaica between Kingston and Montego Bay made them the first non-Jamaican airline since the latter’s independence to be granted such a route.

Another of the interCaribbean Airways reviews, albeit dated to 2015, reported he was “Very disappointed with the airline. This is my second time flying from providenciales to Jamaica. First time was a disaster as my 3pm flight did not leave until 7pm. Now today I called customer service at 12:30pm and was told that the flight is on schedule for 4pm. Got to the airport at 2pm to be informed that the flight is delayed until 6pm. It is now 5:42pm, no plane insight, and no one has the common courtesy to inform awaiting passengers that the flight will be further dalayed. Very disappointed.”
