InterCaribbean Airways Reviews 2017
Airlines such as InterCaribbean Airways, offering a number of services, can have a colourful history behind their success. What would later be known as InterCaribbean Airways purchased its direct competitor SkyKing in 2008, and by November 2013, had a new expansion plan focused on improving connection options in the Northern Caribbean.
Our new InterCaribbean Airways look into the history of the airline, what users have to say about flying with them, and further information.
Background and History
The airline was founded in 1992 as “InterIsland Airways, Ltd.,” and had formerly been known as Air Turks & Caicos. Based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, interCaribbean Airways’ headquarters is located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. From their base, the airline operates passenger services as well as charter flights to a number of domestic and regional destinations. InterCaribbean Airways’ domestic service in Jamaica between Kingston and Montego Bay made them the first non-Jamaican airline since the latter’s independence to be granted such a route.
As of the most recent interCaribbean Airways reviews, InterCaribbean Airways flies to sixteen destinations using 3 Beech 99, 1 Beechcraft B200, and as of August 2016, 8 Embraer EMB 120ER Brasilia, and 2 De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter. Trevor Sadler serves as interCaribbean Airways’ CEO.
What Users Have to Say
There aren’t much interCaribbean Airways reviews online, though on GlassDoor, one of the interCaribbean Airways reviews from an employee rated them with one star out of five. Saying it had “Non existent structure, no communication. dire need to retain talent,” he recommended they “Communicate more and learn to delegate more. Micromanagement.”
Another of the interCaribbean Airways reviews, albeit dated to 2015, reported he was “Very disappointed with the airline. This is my second time flying from providenciales to Jamaica. First time was a disaster as my 3pm flight did not leave until 7pm. Now today I called customer service at 12:30pm and was told that the flight is on schedule for 4pm. Got to the airport at 2pm to be informed that the flight is delayed until 6pm. It is now 5:42pm, no plane insight, and no one has the common courtesy to inform awaiting passengers that the flight will be further dalayed. Very disappointed.”
Their site’s designed with a bright colour scheme, featuring moving images or cartoon icons. Like most airline websites, you can book, manage your flight, and check in on their search engine. Online, users can avail of percent-off discounts: as much as 60% off on hotel deals and up to 40% off on car rental services.
Cacique Rewards is interCaribbean Airways’ rewards program, taking its name from Caribbean history’s great men and women leaders: the caciques. Start signing up and earning points as you fly, here. InterCaribbean Airways’s inflight and online magazine is also called Cacique; check it out here.

InterCaribbean Airways may sound interesting but that’s also because of their varied negative interCaribbean Airways reviews. They should improve communicating with their employees and passengers.
