History and ownership
JetBlue was founded by Brazilian-American entrepreneur David Neeleman back in August 1998. It was initially named “NewAir”. Neeleman, along with several executives, had previously worked for SouthWest Airlines. The founder wanted to offer low-cost flights much like Southwest, but had sought to offer better in-flight amenities for the passengers by offering better inflight entertainment.
Robin Hayes has been JetBlue’s President since January 1, 2014 and CEO since February 16, 2015. Prior to joining JetBlue in August 2008, he worked with British Airways for nineteen years.
What people are saying
Fortunately for those who have already booked flights with the airline, most of the JetBlue reviews were rather positive. Based on what verified passengers posted on online review sites, the airline’s flight crew were among the most accommodating that they have ever experienced. In general, JetBlue’s flights were smooth and the delays, while present, were few and had legitimate reasons. Here are some of the passenger reviews:

Their website is simple and is doesn’t feature any images of their destinations unlike those found in other airline websites. In the middle of their homepage is the flight booking form. Fill up all the necessary information and indicate how many people are traveling with you (distinguish the adults from the kids), and click the orange button to find your flight.

JetBlue’s headquarters in Long Island City and operates from its main hub in John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5. They also have another corporate office found in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Their fleet consists of different Airbus and Embraer models, with a total of 221 aircraft.

All in all, the JetBlue reviews showed us that this airline is a great choice for travelers who do not want to spend too much money on expensive flight tickets but would still like to have at least some of the common comforts of a regular airline. It’s always good to save money but there is no need to sacrifice the enjoyment of air travel.
