Excellent airport! Super modern and clean! My second favourite after Amsterdam airport. Bathrooms: super clean. Wifi: your only supposed to have 2 hours free, but after 2 hours.. I was still connected. Electric: you’ll be hard up to find plugs! But I give 5 stars for wifi. A must so when I have 8 hour layovers, I can still get some work done.”
—Jennifer S (London, United Kingdom)

“Really fantastic and modern airport! I had 3 hours to kill before my flight and they had plenty of shops and restaurants here to keep me occupied! I can’t comment on the prices as I only know USD haha. So praying I didn’t charge anything that was too outrageous. I wish they had some American outlets so I could charge my phone but I digress. Great airport not too big but plenty of things to do!”

—Diana A (San Diego, California)

“One of the cleanest airports I’ve ever been in!!! Food is also super good, especially the food market at the international terminals (before gates 50, etc). They have smoked salmon, salmon burgers, various sandwiches, make your own salad, etc. No hassle getting through the security line and bathrooms are clean! The airport is also connected to the train station. I was able to go to Oslo center when I had a 6 hr layover.”

Aesthetics

Oslo Airport Interior 3Oslo Airport is a small but bright airport—especially at daytime; as the sunlight passes through its huge glass windows and numerous skylights that makes the whole vicinity brighter and larger. With its clean and shiny floors to its varnished wooden tiles and panels that compliments the airport’s interior design: it is surely comfortable hanging out with the airport’s cozy atmosphere.

Oslo Airport Interior 1Oslo Airport has only one terminal that offers 52 aircraft parking stands, of which 34 are connected with bridges and 18 are remotely parked. Domestic gates are located at the west wing; whereas the east wing is dedicated for international gates. There are 20 restaurants providing food or drink services, in addition to stores and other services including banks and posts. The departure duty-free shop, is located at the front of the international concourse, taking up a large part of the terminal’s width. As you can see, Oslo Airport is somehow small—yet it has a lot to offer.

The Airport has two parallel runways: the west and the east runways, which both have taxiways, allowing 80 movements per hour. The runways are equipped with CAT IIIA instrument landing system, and is supervised by a 299ft tall control tower.
